Keeping Your Cool!

Keeping Your House Cool On Hot Days!

Today we are expecting a high of 35 deg! The cicadas have been singing since very early this morning.

The night air was quite stuffy so unfortunately… I have woken up with a headache…. Great start to the day especially with the high temps expected.

After school drop off I’ve headed home….

To try & keep the house cool I have…..
Closed all the windows & doors ..otherwise hot air will just fill the house
Closed the curtains in most of the rooms… the sun bounces off the pavements & heats up the house.
Wear loose, cool clothing – cotton is a great fabric for hot days

Keeping your house cool will also help to save electricity by not having to use your fans.

Unfortunately… I’m feeling the heat so it’s almost time to turn on the fan in the computer room to help keep me cool.

Important reminder…. Drink plenty of water to keep up fluid intake to keep hydrated. You can easily become dehydrated from the heat or a virus…. Recently a friend, suffering from a virus, ended up in hospital due to dehydration…
